Description

The Department of Special Education has part-time adjunct instructor positions available for Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Instructors are needed to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Special Education (e.g., mild, severe, deaf/hard of hearing, etc.). Both on campus and online courses are available.

Please note that applications will remain active for one year from the posting date. Therefore, if you apply for this position, you may not hear from the Department of Special Education until there is a need to hire an instructor to teach a specific course.

Minimum Qualifications

Adjuncts teaching undergraduate courses in special education have a masters degree in special education or closely related field from an accredited institution.

Adjuncts teaching graduate level courses must have a doctoral degree in special education or closely related field from an accredited institution.

Adjunct faculty interested in teaching masters level research methods courses must have at least a doctoral degree in special education, education, psychology, or closely related field from an accredited institution.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications for special education courses is at least two years of teaching experience in schools working directly with students with disabilities.
