Job Responsibilities:
- Operation of the City's relatively new sewage wastewater treatment plant.
- Supervises workers in all aspects of normal and emergency plant operation, including building//grounds maintenance and sludge conditioning//removal.
- Performs daily tests to ensure efficient proper plant operations.
- Remain up-to-date and in compliance with Departmental Rules, Administrative Directives, Institutional Directives, Institutional Policies, and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
- Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires possession of an Illinois Certified Class 1 Wastewater Operator Certificate.
- Requires a minimum six (6) years of experience in sewage treatment plant operation.
