Position Overview:

Lehman College is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Foundation Relations. Reporting to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the Director will play a pivotal role in securing philanthropic support for the benefit of Lehman College. Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year foundation fundraising strategic plan to meet or exceed established goals and metrics.

* Research, identify, and cultivate relationships with foundations to expand the college's funding portfolio.

* Collaborate with Deans, faculty, and senior administrators to develop compelling proposals, budgets, and other materials for foundation solicitation.

* Maintain an accurate calendar of proposal, report, cultivation, and stewardship deadlines to ensure timely submission and follow-up.

* Serve as a liaison between Lehman College and foundation staff, fostering positive and productive relationships.

* Provide support for large-scale Advancement initiatives, including events such as the annual Gala.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with a minimum of six years' related experience in fundraising or institutional advancement.

* Continuing education, including CFRE or similar certification, is preferred.

* At least four years of related experience in a higher education setting is required.

* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and correspondence.

* Strong organizational, managerial, and budget management skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve results.

* Ability to work collaboratively across departments and divisions, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.

* Commitment to integrity, honesty, and ethical fundraising practices, with a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
