Role Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Director of the Administrative Services Center (ASC), HR Support Services, the Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading a full-cycle recruitment program which includes the development, implementation, and planning of the talent acquisition strategy for the Institute designed to attract highly qualified and diverse talent Institute-wide. The Director of TA is also responsible for communication of the Institute's talent acquisition strategy and ensuring compliance with all employment laws and Georgia Tech and University System of Georgia (USG) policies and procedures. Responsible for setting team goals, developing staff members, and providing data-informed decisions that drive successful partnerships and collaborative efforts. This position will supervise all staff within the Talent Acquisition Team.
The ASC is a deliverable of the AdminX initiative. The ASC partners with local and central units to provide efficient and consistent support for administrative operations across the Institute. As of October 17, 2022, the ASC serves as the "front door" for all HR inquiries, the initiation of hiring transactions (all employee types), and employee data management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive talent acquisition best practices that support the overall objectives and talent needs across the Institute, ensuring compliance with not only applicable state and federal law, but Georgia Tech and USG policies and procedures including making recommendations as necessary.
- Oversee the development of recruitment strategies and execute programs that source, attract, and retain diverse, top-quality candidates and ensure an efficient, high-touch candidate experience from application to hire.
- Serve as an escalation point for critical issues, contacts, and requests, ensuring strong cross-functional partnerships and collaboration with multiple decision makers.
- Utilize data to coach talent sourcing and recruitment staff to foster higher operational excellence and efficiency.
- Utilize metrics on a regular basis to make data-informed decisions and develop an effective recruiting strategy that aligns with overall goals, objectives, and key performance indicators
- Monitor customer satisfaction of hiring managers, related to recruitment practices and vendor partnerships.
- Work closely with the Employee Experience & Employer Branding staff to propel employer brand, social media engagement, and continuous improvement in the employee experience for all new hires.
- Develop, implement, and oversee recruitment, selection, and/or interview technology systems in accordance with state, federal, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations.
Requirements:
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience: Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
- Ten or more years of job related experience. Ten (10) years of progressively responsible work experience in talent acquisition, recruiter, or other related roles, inclusive of at least five (5) years in a supervisory role.
- Flexibility in work schedule and ability to work in a hybrid environment with weekly in-person work requirements.
Preferences:
- Graduate Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience: Work experience in large, complex organization(s) within the higher education, state government, and/or research industries.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Internet Recruiter, Certified Staffing Professional, Professional Recruiter Certification, PHR/SPHR preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge
Advanced knowledge of the organizational best practices for bench-marking talent acquisition practices; working knowledge of office-related technology applications and devices; well-versed in agile methodology and process improvement; strong knowledge and high level of comfort with applicant tracking and recruitment systems, models and methodologies; strong professional recruitment network and knowledge of external recruitment practices and trends; technically proficient with a proven track record in all aspects of internet recruiting and on- boarding.
Skills
Advanced skills in the areas of project management, strategic planning, budget administration, conflict resolution, program management, event planning, employment branding, candidate funnels, and negotiation; excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail; the ability to approach issues with creative problem solving and innovation.
Abilities
High emotional intelligence: the ability to lead a distributed, hybrid workforce; proven ability to navigate and influence others within a highly matrix, large organization; demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff, and to cultivate strong relationships across organizational boundaries.
Salary and Benefits package:
- $105,000 - $145,000 per year
