Provide creative direction and technical services by developing and maintaining multimedia products and serving as the primary liaison between clients and technical resources needed to implement multimedia materials within the marketing and communications infrastructure of the organization. Design, edit, and produce multimedia projects for internal and external use by the Office of Distance Learning to support a variety of initiatives. Work collaboratively with both internal and external constituents on design, development and content to contribute to the strategic creation of effective environments/resources for the distance learning community.
Required Qualifications:
Basic experience designing using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Basic ability to serve as a liaison between internal team and external vendors and technical resources. Basic experience designing, editing, and producing multimedia projects from concept to completion.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external constituents on design, development, and content. Basic ability to contribute to the strategic direction of divisional marketing materials. Basic ability to work independently to produce design ideas and with a team to refine the ideas.
Basic experience with multimedia (graphics, video and photography) and HTML5 development processes as well as computer design technologies including, but not limited to, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Some experience with printer specifications and material preparation, computer hardware and software, creative design applying photography and video elements, and the production of a variety of multimedia products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Considerable experience with the creation of multimedia materials in a marketing related field. Some experience editing raw video, audio and graphics to develop finished content using editing software such as Final Cut Pro. Some experience in a higher education setting. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field. Equivalent training or experience may be substituted.
