Job Description
To key data, monitor, analyze and reconcile capital asset related transactions in the Banner capital assets module. Maintain and assist in implementation of upgrades to the capital asset Banner module and coordinate and conduct physical inventory of capital assets. Perform closing activities, process general ledger accounting entries, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices to include capital asset accounting. Working knowledge of the use of data processing techniques in maintaining accounting records and automated financial systems. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and research skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Word and Excel. Demonstrated ability to apply and adapt established accounting methods to a variety of financial transactions and records. Demonstrated ability to prepare financial reports and statements. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player. Ability to perform on site asset confirmation across university properties.
