Job Summary: The teacher is considered a minister of the gospel as he or she assists in educating and enhancing the lives of students by producing bold servants for Christ and equipping children to fulfill God's purposes for their lives spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

We have 2 positions available, and both are Middle School Mathematics (grades 6-8). One position will focus on Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and Geometry while the other will focus on 6th grade math, 7th grade math and Pre-Algebra.

It is expected that the teacher will:

  • * Be a born-again believer, acknowledging Christ as Savior and seeking to live his/her life as His disciple.
  • * Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God, our standard for faith and practice.
  • * Demonstrate a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by his/her prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others.
  • * Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others.
  • * Evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in dealing with people.
  • * Share the Christian faith with others.
  • * Actively participate in a local Christian church whose beliefs align with the school's beliefs.

Required Professional Qualities:

  • * Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • o For the middle school mathematics position, it is preferred a degree in secondary mathematics education or in mathematics.
  • o Experience teaching middle school math is acceptable in lieu of a secondary mathematics degree.
  • * Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy. Basic proficiency is needed in word processing, e-mailing, and accessing the Internet.
  • * Possess evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the school administrator.
