Job Summary:
The Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Analytics, Research, and Compliance is an integral team member responsible for providing data and analytical support to the Senior Vice President, the Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management, and the entire executive leadership team. The Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President will collaborate with multiple constituents to support the strategic design, implementation, integration, and accessibility of resources that enable effective and reliable data analytics and business intelligence. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining reports, including data-driven forecasts, predictive modeling, and recommendations for all operations, including, but not limited to, traditional & non-traditional enrollment, financial aid, athletics, lead management, and marketing.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential:
  • Coordinate data reporting throughout all areas under the Senior Vice President to include enrollment and financial aid modeling, reports, dashboards, and market forecasting (geographic, demographic, and special populations) to support the needs of the division and institution.
  • Oversee lead management operations, evaluate lead generation campaign performance, communicate findings, and provide business strategy recommendations for optimizing performance. Conduct consistent lead analysis meetings to update leadership on lead generation performance.
  • Conduct retention analysis to identify trends related to recruitment, admissions, enrollment, scholarships, financial aid, and related data. Provide analysis to predict prospective student and applicant behavior throughout their engagement, using these data and metrics to gain insights on improving retention through matriculation.
  • Present data that includes quantitative and qualitative information about the organization's key objectives and assist leadership in interpreting and using the data to influence changes to operations or processes.
  • Maintain database, reports, and data queries using multiple platforms, including but not limited to Salesforce, Colleague, Power BI, and other analytic platforms.
  • Provide proper data verification, formatting, and cleanup as necessary to manage and analyze enrollment and financial aid data.
  • Assist in developing new predictive modeling and forecasting processes for enrollment planning and strategy.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting data literacy, encouraging data-driven thinking, and driving data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries, charts, slides, and other visual aids to describe findings, propose solutions, and predict trends.
  • Engage with leadership to understand their data needs, align and prioritize efforts with organizational objectives, and ensure the delivery of valuable insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance data quality and efficiency.
  • Design and implement reporting systems and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly reports to reflect team performance.
  • Review data for gaps, anomalies, outliers, and unexpected trends.
  • Use data reporting tools available on campus and through third-party entities (e.g., NSC, College Board, ACT) to analyze enrollment trends further.
  • Integrate the admissions and financial aid reporting environments to support a cohesive enrollment department.
  • Liaise with other campus units, working collaboratively to develop sustainable systems, mechanisms, and procedures for tracking institutional data toward strategic goals.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and assist on special projects alongside the Director of Enrollment Research & Operations.
  • Coordinate and assist with project sandbox testing and implementations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and creating report process documentation.
  • Lead the implementation of new analytics technologies and ensure successful integration with existing systems.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Master's degree preferred. (All Director-level staff and above hired without a Master's degree are encouraged to begin their degree path as soon as possible at Regis upon attainment of employee tuition benefit eligibility.)


Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience working with data in a higher education environment.
  • Ability to provide strategic analysis and recommendations to drive enrollment decision-making.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting (e.g., building and utilizing formulas, pivot table, macros, and external data sources/queries), multiple database integration experience required.
  • Power BI, Salesforce Analytics, Tableau, Colleague, Informer, and SQL experience preferred.
  • Relevant exposure to both undergraduate and graduate enrollment processes is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate and work beyond business hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed during high-volume months.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work and communicate with a broad group of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, creativity, high energy, strong character, and discipline.
  • Commitment to best practice, excellence, and innovation in a fast-paced environment with high expectations
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work will require occasional weekend and/or evening work. In addition, some local, regional, and/or national travel may be required.
