SALARY: $52,000.00 (2023-2024 base salary), plus additional salary credit for graduate credits, Master’s Degree and prior teaching experience. Excellent benefits are available.

DUTIES: Responsible For:
• The development and supervision of work experiences for students in a job skills development/shadowing experience.
• Support and/or coaching in career development (career exploration using O*Net, or similar platform)
• Teaching work related behaviors, and attitudes, and employment skills.
• Coaching students in work locations on skills and attitudes necessary for success.
• The development and supervision of work experiences (including job shadowing, community service/volunteering, Industry-based projects, school-based enterprises, mentoring, school year/summer internships, entrepreneurship, community-based work experiences for students with disabilities, etc.)
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with participating students, businesses, parents, and CSEs.
• Collaborating with counselors, administration, and attending CSE meetings when requested.
• Developing and maintaining all student records, profiles, portfolios, etc.
• Collaborating with all World-of-Work teachers in the area of student transition, recognizing student achievement, program completion, ensure all labor laws and paperwork are in order
• All other duties as assigned.
*Experience teaching students with disabilities, and possession of a commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement is desirable. Willingness to obtain two course Work-Based Learning Programs for Career Development/Exploration Extension within 2 years.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess an existing, valid, base NYSED CTE Teaching Certification. Completion of NYS Registered Program AND Institutional Recommendation. Work experience outside of classroom teaching – 600 clock hours.
