Job Summary
The Kentucky Community Cancer Program at Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a Regional Cancer Control Specialist II. This position is responsible for planning and implementing regional cancer prevention and control services; education; research; and other activities to impact the goal of the Markey Cancer Center to reduce cancer incidence and mortality in Kentucky. This role will service the Big Sandy and FIVCO Area Development Districts.
Duties include: providing and facilitating cancer prevention and control services in Big Sandy and FIVCO Area Development Districts; maintain District Cancer Councils and actively engage community members and stakeholders in cancer risk reduction, health equity and health access.
In addition to being detail‐oriented, the successful candidate will exhibit maturity and good judgment and have proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel; strong interpersonal skills; the ability to prioritize; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the capacity to work independently and with flexibility.
This position will be located within the Big Sandy or FIVCO Area Development District region.
