The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric oncology and clinical informatics. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board-certified or eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology.

Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and clinical instruction of junior faculty, hematology-oncology fellows, residents, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, medical students, and clinical research staff in both clinical informatics and pediatric oncology.

Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care focused on children, adolescents, and young adults at the Philadelphia University City Hospital. Clinical care might also be provided at CHOP Oncology sites in Voorhees NJ and/or King of Prussia PA. A major focus of this position will be on clinical informatics, including modifications and enhancements to the Epic electronic medical record and Beacon chemotherapy ordering system. Candidates must have formal training in clinical informatics and experience with Epic and Beacon.

Opportunities for research in expanding use of the electronic medical record may be available.
