Job Summary

Provides administrative support services for patient care to include scheduling and confirming a large volume of appointments and surgeries via telephone, web, email, and in-person utilizing exceptional patient and customer service skills. Maintains accurate databases and records and ensures all forms and paperwork are completed and correct. Performs more advanced financial functions.


Essential Functions

Schedules a large volume of appointments via telephone, web, email, and in-person with a friendly and courteous manner. Ensures proper booking of appointments and registering of patients. • Ensures all forms and paperwork are completed correctly and in a timely manner, including evaluating the treatment plan for coding and signature requirements, instructing patients on subsequent down payments, verifying patient preauthorization, revising transcriptions, and/or making payment arrangements prior to treatment. Abides by all applicable regulations and requirements. • Enters patient demographic and insurance information correctly into databases; updates information as needed and maintains all files. • Prepares bank deposits and subsequent reports, including credit card and/or check transactions, and daily database logging. • Responds accurately and timely to all communications, including policy and procedural requests, and insurance questions. • The job duties outlined in this job description include common job responsibilities for this title and level of jobs and are not intended to cover every duty. Generally sedentary. Chart filing may require standing/stooping for a period of time.
