Postdoctoral Position in Artificial Intelligence and Postsecondary Career Education

Building Automation Resilient Community and Technical College CTE Programs: Evidence and Best Practices from Tennessee is a three-year ECMC Foundation-funded project that explores the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), workforce automation, and career and technical education (CTE) in community and technical colleges. The project combines quantitative analyses of student-level records with qualitative data gathered from interviews and discussions with AI and CTE experts and industry representatives. The project also will build a Networked Improvement Community among community and technical college practitioners in the state of Tennessee to build AI-resilient postsecondary CTE pipelines. The project is led by PI Cameron Sublett, who seeks a postdoctoral fellow interested in growing their research and technical assistance skillset on a highly-visible and unique study in partnership with ACTE, Advance CTE and the Tennessee Board of Regents.

The project is based in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, a leading educational research institution, located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Remote work is an option for the right candidate. Applicants should have a completed doctoral degree in Education Leadership, Higher Education, Education Policy, Economics or related field. Preferred qualifications include experience working with large, administrative data, statistical analysis and programming, project management, and working with external stakeholder groups.

This position is a full-time, twelve-month appointment with a salary of $65,000, with health/ dental insurance, a travel allowance, and other benefits.
