Job Summary
The University Campus Store is looking for innovative, energetic, and team-oriented individuals to join our team. We have been part of the University for over 100 years and serve a large and diverse campus community. Our unit is made up of the flagship University Campus Store, University Campus Store Health, University Campus Store Sandy, stadium, arena, and event locations, and e-commerce channels. With an emphasis on our student customer, we are a key retail service provider for students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, prospective students, visitors, and University of Utah athletic fans.
The University Campus Store is seeking a Red Zone Concessions Sales Coordinator to supervise all off site concessions sales, including those held in conjunction with University Athletics, other stadium and arena events, and all off campus “pop up” shops throughout the year. This position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all operations for Campus Store apparel sales run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Under the direction of the Red Zone Manager, this position is in charge of providing quality service, overseeing stocking and merchandising of all event locations, maintaining inventory control procedures, upholding Campus Store service standards, ensuring clean work areas and supporting concessions staff as needed.

Responsibilities
- Supervises game day and other event operations for all University Campus Store stadium, arena and off site “pop up” locations.
- Ensures that the staff is providing excellent customer service.
- Oversees staff to ensure that they are following all Campus Store policies and procedures during events.
- Maintains inventory controls and ensures proper inventory procedures are followed.
- Communicates with Red Zone Manager in regards planning, transferring and mechanizing all event locations as appropriate to event.
- Performs cash handling procedures before, during, and after games.
- Ensures that proper cleaning and organizational procedures are followed to maintain clean and well-organized spaces.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts and procedures for concessions locations.
- Ensures that the staff is providing excellent customer service.
- Responsible for keeping work areas clean, stocked and well organized.
- Creates and facilitates a fun, dynamic atmosphere while acting as a positive role model for employees.
- Anticipates, works through, and solves problems with fans and staff, displaying patience and understanding.
- Assisting in overseeing game day operations, preparing sales reports and other reporting tools as needed.
- Set up and tear down all off all concession sales events supported by the University Campus Store.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) with 2-4 years sales experience applicable to assigned University department. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Depending upon department of assignment, preference may be given for a background in hospitality, marketing, communications, public relations, or athletics.
Preferences
Two years of retail experience.
One year of supervising employees.
Strong working knowledge of Utah Athletics.
